UKRI, Jember regency discuss partnership in education and regional development
Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (UKRI) welcomed a delegation from the Jember Regency Government on Wednesday to explore strategic partnerships in education and regional economic development.
The meeting, held on Aug. 5, focused on opportunities for collaboration in human resource development, research, support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and the application of agricultural technology through research conducted by UKRI's Faculty of Agriculture.
The UKRI delegation was led by First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Heni Haryani and included Third Vice Rector Suhaeri, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture M. Arief A. Bisma, UKRI Cooperation Team member Tolani Warangga, and Acting Head of the University Secretariat Dini Nur Fadhillah.
The Jember Regency Government delegation included Arief Tjahyono, head of the Jember Education Office; Sartini, head of the Jember Cooperatives and MSMEs Office; Danang Andriasmara; Dima Akhyar, deputy chair of the Regional Development Acceleration Team (TP3D); and Moh. Kosim, head of the Infrastructure and Facilities Division of the Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Office.
University and local government officials discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across several priority sectors, including workforce development, applied research, MSME mentoring, and agricultural innovation. The collaboration is expected to leverage academic expertise and government resources to support sustainable regional development and improve community welfare.
