Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (UKRI) and the West Java Provincial Government Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement
Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (UKRI) and the West Java provincial government signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening human resource development and expanding research in the health sector.
The agreement, signed at the UKRI Rectorate Building on Aug. 3, focuses on improving workforce competencies, optimizing human resource development, and promoting research and innovation to support healthcare services across the province.
The cooperation agreement was signed by West Java Regional Secretary Dr. Herman Suryatman and UKRI First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Heni Haryani.
The signing ceremony was attended by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, UKRI Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Helvi Y. Moraza, Head of the West Java Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) Dedi Taufik, UKRI Development Acceleration Team member Toni Wijaya, and members of the university's leadership.
Officials said the partnership is expected to strengthen collaboration between academia and the provincial government in developing a skilled workforce, advancing health research, and encouraging innovation in healthcare services.
The initiative is also intended to support sustainable development in West Java's health sector by promoting research-based policies, improving institutional capacity, and enhancing the quality of healthcare professionals.
