Flag Ceremony Commemorating National Heroes Day at UKRI Campus
In commemoration of National Heroes Day,
Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (UKRI) held a flag ceremony on
Monday, November 10, 2024, attended by students and the entire academic
community of UKRI. The ceremony, held at the campus field, carried the national
theme *"Emulate Your Heroes, Love Your Country"*, aimed at fostering
a sense of patriotism and appreciating the struggles of the nation's heroes in
securing Indonesia’s independence.
The ceremony began at 8:00 AM with solemnity. The
Ceremony Leader was Mr. Suhaeri S.Sos., M.I.Kom., Vice Rector for Student
Affairs and Alumni at UKRI. In his address, Mr. Suhaeri urged all participants
not only to honor the contributions of the nation’s heroes but also to emulate
their fighting spirit, using that patriotic energy as motivation to contribute
to the nation’s development.
“Through this year’s National Heroes Day theme,
we are encouraged to love our country even more. The spirit of our heroes must
be passed on to us, and we must continue striving in our respective fields for
the progress of Indonesia. As students, our duty is to sharpen our skills,
create, and contribute to the advancement of this nation,” Mr. Suhaeri stated
in his speech.
The observance of National Heroes Day at UKRI is
expected to strengthen unity and solidarity among students, as well as inspire
them to emulate the heroic spirit that was fought for by the nation's founders.
Additionally, it is hoped that this event will encourage the younger generation
to love their country and commit to actively participating in the nation’s
development.
