OMBAK 2024: The Beginning of the Academic Journey for New UKRI Students
Opening of the 2024 National Student Orientation (OMBAK 2024), Tuesday, 3/9/2024, at the Prof. Soemitro Djojohadikusumo Hall and UKRI Campus field.
OMBAK 2024, organized by the UKRI Student Executive Board (BEM), adopted the theme Bahtera Asa Samanta. This year’s OMBAK was attended by 886 participants, all new students of the 2024 UKRI cohort.
The event was officially opened by UKRI Vice Rector I, Dr. Heni Haryani, S.Pd., M.Hum., accompanied by Vice Rectors II, III, and IV, faculty deans, program heads, field supervisors, the heads of BEM UKRI and DPM UKRI, and the OMBAK 2024 organizing committee chair.
“Welcome to our beloved campus, UKRI. Prospective UKRI students participating in OMBAK 2024 should be full of enthusiasm,” said Vice Rector I Dr. Heni Haryani, S.Pd., M.Hum.
“You are about to embark on your academic journey—a learning process guided by professional educators and supported by administrative staff to achieve academic competencies that encompass cognitive knowledge, skills, attitudes, and character,” she explained.
“With the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, new UKRI students are also encouraged to synergize and collaborate, contributing positively to the nation’s progress,” she added.
“Let us continue to nurture our passion for learning, creating, and innovating for the nation, in line with UKRI’s motto: Learning to Serve, Gaining Knowledge for the Nation,” she concluded.
