Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UKRI Conducts Benchmarking at ITB to Improve Curriculum Quality.
In an effort to enhance curriculum quality, the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (UKRI) conducted a benchmarking activity with the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
The UKRI Mathematics Department delegation was led by Head of Program Siti Hadiaty Yuningsih, S.Si., M.Mat., accompanied by two faculty members, Dr. Rika Amelia, S.Pd., M.Mat., and Nenden Siti Nurkholipah, S.Si., M.Mat. The group was warmly received by Dr. Nuning Nuraini, S.Si., M.Si., Head of the ITB Mathematics Department, and Prof. Novriana Sumarti, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Head of the Actuarial Mathematics Department.
The Mathematics Department at ITB has achieved ‘Excellent’ accreditation, making it one of the top mathematics programs in Indonesia, which serves as motivation for the UKRI Mathematics Department to learn and improve. The discussion between the two departments focused on curriculum development, covering topics from setting learning objectives and selecting teaching materials to assessment methods. The benchmarking activity concluded with an exchange of mementos between the two parties.
