UKRI Rector Donates 2 Sacrificial Cows, Celebrating the Spirit of Eid al-Adha at UKRI Campus
In celebration of Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri, DKM Al-Ittihad UKRI held a congregational Eid prayer and sacrificial animal slaughter on Monday, June 18, 2024, at the Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia campus.
The congregational Eid prayer and sacrificial animal slaughter event at UKRI is held annually, organized by the UKRI academic community and the youth of DKM Al-Ittihad Mosque, who lead each religious activity.
“This year, DKM Al-Ittihad Mosque received five sacrificial animals, including four cows and one goat,” said UKRI Vice Rector II Erdiansyah, S.T., M.Kom., M.T, who served as the head of the organizing committee from the UKRI academic community.
“Two cows were donated by UKRI Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, S.H., M.H., while the remaining animals were contributions from members of the DKM Al-Ittihad community,” he explained.
“The sacrificial meat will be distributed to the entire UKRI academic community, local residents, several orphanages, members of the UKRI community, and members of the DKM Al-Ittihad Mosque community,” he added.
He also expressed his gratitude to all leaders, academic members, and nearby residents who entrusted their sacrificial animals to the UKRI campus, hoping that all good deeds are rewarded by Allah SWT, he concluded.
